Admin/Training Coordinator – Prysmian – Wrexham, United Kingdom

Role

Summary

We’re looking for an Admin/Training Coordinator to join our team  will be instrumental in delivering thorough support across Health, Safety, and Environmental areas. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, promoting safe work practices, and protecting the welfare of our employees, assets, and the environment.

Responsibilities
  • Organise statutory HSE training programmes to meet all statutory requirements.
  • Organise on‑site training requested by site management.
  • Maintain area skills matrices for all departments.
  • Update current training files and produce new documents as required.
  • Monitor training progression and provide the Management team with continuous updates on the current status.
  • Assist in new risk assessments for processes and review/update existing ones.
  • Assist teams in developing safe systems of work for new/existing processes to ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Assist in accident investigation processes as needed.
  • Complete workplace audits and implement corrective actions, compiling reports for Management when required.
  • Produce and deliver presentations covering various HSE issues.
  • Work as part of a team or individually providing key support in delivering projects.
  • Provide support during internal/external audits.
  • Deliver workplace inductions for visitors, contractors, and new starters.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Behavioural Safety initiatives.
  • Assist in site environmental management, including compilation and management of site environmental data.
  • Ad‑hoc management of stationery, printer supplies for the office, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Computer literacy is essential, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in conducting risk assessments, preferably within a manufacturing environment, is advantageous.
  • A self‑starter, proactive, and able to work without direct supervision.
  • A practical/pragmatic approach.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certificate is advantageous but not necessary.
  • Willingness to undertake training as required to meet the role’s requirements.
  • Previous audit experience is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and a willingness to learn and develop within this challenging role. Previous involvement in Health and Safety and/or training would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with strong organisational ability. Tenacity and the drive to succeed are additional qualities required, plus the ability to work closely with the Site Management team to meet all HSE goals.
