Project Engineer | Wymondham | Automotive Technology | £35k - £40k

Langham Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an innovative automotive technology company as they look to grow their operations team with the recruitment of a project engineer.

As a Project Engineer you will assist with the planning and management of engineering projects from project kick-off to delivery. You will be responsible for reporting on the status of assigned projects and providing regular updates to the end customer and project lead.

• Support delivery of assigned engineering projects and work packages.
• Assist in project planning activities, including schedules, task tracking, and documentation.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to gather information and respond to queries under guidance.
• Support preparation of project documentation such as Internal Scope of Supply (ISoS), schedules, and presentations.
• Assist with project tracking and reporting, including schedule updates, basic KPI inputs, and risk logs.
• Support coordination of FAT, installation, commissioning, and SAT activities.
• Work with resource owners to understand availability and support planning activities.

• Some experience working in a project, engineering, or technical environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised and methodical with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using project planning and task management tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Motivated to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
• Degree or HND in Engineering or similar discipline.
• Exposure to automotive, simulation, or complex technical products.
• Familiarity with project tools (e.g. Wrike) or ERP systems (e.g. IFS).
• Interest in developing a career in project engineering or project management.
