Lead Developer, Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer

A Lead Developer is required for a well-established technology focused business that continues to strengthen its internal software capability and invest in the development of bespoke digital platforms. The successful candidate will join an experienced team responsible for creating, enhancing and supporting the web applications and APIs that sit at the centre of the organisation s operations.

Hybrid - Preferably 2 days per week in the office

This role will suit a technically strong developer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, guiding others through complex challenges and ensuring that systems are delivered to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with key stakeholders to plan and coordinate development activity, managing workloads and releases to meet agreed timelines and technical objectives. The position also involves analysing and improving existing codebases, resolving performance issues and leading initiatives that reduce technical debt and strengthen long-term system reliability.

Skills Required

• Strong PHP and Laravel framework experience with solid OOP principles
• Frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular or Next.js
• Database design and optimisation using MySQL
• Version control with Git (Git Hub, Git Lab or Bitbucket)
• Experience leading and mentoring developers
• Knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira or Click Up
• Understanding of testing frameworks, secure coding and deployment processes
