About Us
The practice is run locally by Kate and Keith supported by a team of six vets (including certificate holders in surgery, imaging, emergency medicine and an advanced certificate holder in ultrasound) with five RVNs, three VCAs, five receptionists and a practice manager.
We are a family friendly, supportive and stable team and over the years we've taken on several graduates who are all still with us today, some 6 years on! Three members of the team are also GDP advisors.
Our strong nursing team bring hands‑on support with schedule 3 work, nurse consults, dentals and x‑rays.
The practice benefits from wider support across Vets for Pets, in addition to two onsite, trained Mental Health First Aiders, enabling the whole team to personalise care and ensuring that each member has everything needed to provide the best level of care to our patients and clients.
The role and you
Kate and Keith take real pride in their team and the supportive working environment they have created together and will support you with a bespoke induction and a workplace that respects your need for work‑life balance.
All vets have dedicated breaks blocked out as well as at least an hour of admin time every day. We also have daily rounds in the afternoon where we discuss what has happened that day and can also discuss any case that vets would like help with.
We’re looking for a good all‑rounder capable in consults and routine surgery, with consults given 15 minutes as standard and 30 minutes for more complex cases when required.
We can be flexible on days and hours, ideally 2‑3 days per week, covering one late shift per week until 7pm. No out of hours, just 1 in 5 Saturdays (8.30am‑5pm and we can be flexible on finish times on the other days.

Additional Information
The practice is equipped to a very high standard with equipment you’d expect such as dental x‑ray, new digital x‑ray system, ultrasound, diathermy, cryosurgery and also includes three consult rooms as well as space for colleagues to spend time together. The practice is based on a busy retail park offering an array of popular eateries on our doorstep including Costa, M&S and Nandos which we all enjoy together frequently.
