This is a key leadership role where you'll guide the drawing office team, drive technical excellence, and play a central part in delivering successful steelwork projects from design through to site.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of steelwork detailers (internal & external)
• Oversee all drawing office activities from initial design to issued-for-construction
• Review and approve fabrication, GA, assembly, and erection drawings
• Ensure drawings meet industry standards (including NSSS) and internal QC processes
• Allocate workloads and manage project deadlines effectively
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, production, and site teams
• Resolve technical queries and design challenges throughout each project
• Attend project meetings and occasional site visits
• Oversee Tekla Structures usage and maintain document management systems

• HNC or higher in Structural/Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
• Minimum 5 years' experience within the UK structural steelwork sector
• Strong proficiency with Tekla Structures
• Solid knowledge of NSSS and general steelwork standards
• Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive team performance
