This is a strong opportunity to join a respected and growing practice in York. The firm is looking for an experienced audit professional or a part qualified auditor who is close to completing their studies and ready to step up into a senior role. You will work with a varied client portfolio, take the lead on audit fieldwork and support the development of junior team members.

Responsibilities of the Audit Senior Job include:

• Lead audit fieldwork on a range of clients from planning to completion

• Prepare audit files, working papers and draft financial statements

• Support and guide junior members of the team during assignments

• Identify areas of risk and ensure audit standards are maintained

• Attend client meetings and provide clear updates and explanations

• Work collaboratively with the wider accounts and tax teams

• Contribute to process improvements and quality initiatives

Requirements of the Audit Senior Job include:

• UK practice experience is essential

• ACA or ACCA qualified or close to qualification

• Good technical knowledge of audit standards and FRS 102

• Confident managing key elements of an audit assignment

• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach

• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
