Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

Project Manager | York | Tier 1 Contractor | £65k - £75k + Package

I’m working with a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering large-scale projects across the education, healthcare, industrial, and commercial sectors

They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a c £15m new build education scheme in York

This is a site-based delivery role, with responsibility for driving the day-to-day management of the project through construction to handover

The role;

Manage the delivery of a new build education project to programme, budget and quality targets

Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and consultants to ensure smooth project execution

Maintain and update construction programmes and short-term lookaheads

Support commercial control, procurement and contract administration under JCT

Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance

Identify and manage risks, issues and change as the project progresses

Act as a key point of contact for client and consultant teams

You will need;

Experience delivering new-build construction projects in the £10m–£20m range

Background in education, public sector or similar regulated environments preferred

Working knowledge of JCT Design & Build or Traditional contracts

Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in construction, engineering or a related discipline

Confident managing site teams including Site Managers, Engineers and subcontractors

Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
