Transferee and re-joiner police officer opportunities – Constable, Sergeant, Inspector & Chief Inspector.
We are looking for experienced Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors & Chief Inspectors to join both our uniform and detective teams across the Force.
We welcome transferee and re-joiner applications all year round. If you wish to join the cohort starting on 23rd March 2026, applications will close on 30th November 2025.

Eligibility to Transfer- Current serving police officer in a Home Office force.
- No outstanding misconduct or integrity issues.
- Resided in the UK for three years immediately prior to submitting your application.
- Successfully completed your probationary period with your Force and be substantive in post.
Complete the online application form and upload the following documents:
- Training record
- Last 2 PDRs
- Copy of the attached training list (training checklist).
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to a competency‑based interview following the Competency & Values Framework for Policing. Successful applicants will then undergo:
- Vetting
- Medical Assessment
- Biometrics
- References
- Sickness Criteria
- Misconduct checks
- Tattoos checks
The posting will depend on individual preference and operational requirement, though not guaranteed.
Rejoining the ForceTo rejoin you must have previously served as a member of a police force and completed probation in the rank of constable under regulation 12.
Rejoining officers will be appointed in a rank decided by the Chief Officer and will complete a probationary period as determined.
Interviews will be held between 1st – 12th December 2025.
