County Durham, Greater Manchester & West Yorkshire | £55,000 to £65,000 basic + commission | OTE £80,000 to £100,000

We're working with a fast-growing used car retailer that thinks like a tech business. Customers can buy fully online, the on-site journey is moving towards self-serve, and every site hit its volume target last month. Now they need a Head of Sales to lead their Northern sites.
The patchYou’ll cover a group of sites across the County Durham, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and the West Midlands. This is a field-based role, so you’ll need to live within easy reach of all three, ideally somewhere along the A1 or M62.
The role- Own sales performance across your sites: units, profitability and the wider numbers
- Coach and develop your Sales Managers so they bring out the best in their teams
- Drive consistent standards and great customer service at every site
- Work alongside preparation, service and aftersales teams to keep the customer journey joined up
- Champion digital and self-serve buying, and bring your teams with you
- Bring fresh ideas from outside traditional car retail
- A genuine coach. You can show real examples of people you’ve developed and promoted
- A future thinker. Tech, AI and digital customer journeys excite you
- Commercially strong. You’ve owned the numbers across multiple sites or a region
- A multi-site leader. You’re used to leading teams you don’t see every day and managing your time on the road
- Based in the patch, within easy reach of County Durham, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire
- Out of sector? Good. That’s often exactly what they want. Strong backgrounds could include multi-site retail, senior contact centre operations, SaaS or digital sales leadership, or automotive, as long as you bring a modern, tech-led mindset.
