Support Security Officer – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services
Location:
Hull.
We are currently looking for a highly capable and dependable Mobile Security Officer to take on a key role in ensuring the safety and security of a site in Hull. This is an essential position that requires a proactive individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities- Respond to and accurately report any incidents that arise.
- Conduct regular site patrols, ensuring compliance with required KPI points.
- Applicants must be aged 21 or over.
- Possess a current full clean UK manual driver’s licence.
- At least one year of driving experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be adaptable to the demands of this dynamic role.
Days: 05:00 – 17:00
Nights: 17:00 – 05:00
The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to adjust to evolving operational requirements within the role.
SalaryThe pay rate for this position is from £12.55 to £12.75 per hour.
Job Overview- To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
- To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal/regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
- Proactively review the published Assignment Instructions, suggesting changes that will improve the current level of service.
- Comply with industry and statutory legislation, obtaining the necessary front‑line licence and CCTV PSS SIA licence.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically, methodically and orderly.
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undergo additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Immediately report any health and safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes in the work environment to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct with difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries promptly for incident reports.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are conducted at allocated times as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
- Call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Previous security experience.
- SIA licence.
- SC clearance desirable.
