Electrical​/Heat Trace Engineer Akkodis Engineering · Asker

We are looking for a skilled Heat Trace Engineer to join a large EPC project. The right candidate will be part of a major greenfield project and will have the opportunity to develop their expertise in electrical heat trace design.

• Calculate, select, and oversee heat trace cable design
• Design and follow up on heat trace requirements per P&IDs and project solutions
• Input, update, and maintain the heat trace engineering register
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and coordinate between fabrication and engineering teams
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure compliant, reliable heat tracing solutions

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical College combined with minimum 12 years of relevant experience with onshore and offshore facilities
• EX course (renewed every 5 years). If not certified, the course must be taken shortly after starting work

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design and calculations of electrical heat-trace systems for offshore projects
• Deep knowledge of electrical design according to NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC standards
• Familiarity with Aveva E3D and Navis Works

• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
• Cooperative attitude and ability to work in a multicultural team environment
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadlines and quality requirements
• Proactive, sharing knowledge and seeking advice when needed

• EX – Basic EX course (6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours classroom)
• FSE – Including first aid
