Location: Zürich
We are seeking an experienced Electrical System / High Voltage Engineer to be part of a major EPC offshore topside and electrification project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large greenfield and integration project while developing your expertise in electrical system engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Design and specify electrical system solutions and strategies during study, FEED, and detailed phases.
- Collaborate across disciplines to deliver electrification scope, including land cables, subsea cables, and HV equipment for onshore and offshore substations.
- Prepare Main Power Supply Package Specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Manage high-voltage packages (transformers, GIS, VSD) from development through execution, including engineering, fabrication, logistics, installation, and handover.
- Support design of electrical philosophies, typologies, single-line diagrams, load lists, system descriptions, and PMS/PDCS systems.
- Follow up on electrical system calculations, analyses, and assessments.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in electrical engineering on Norwegian continental shelf projects
- Extensive experience with HV packages (transformers, GIS, VSD)
- Strong knowledge of electrical system analysis and transmission systems
- Offshore electrification project experience
- Familiarity with standards: NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV, IEC
Skills:
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Team‑oriented, proactive, and systematic with strong attention to deadlines and quality
Certificates:
- EX – Basic EX course (6–8 hours online or 22.5 hours classroom)
- FSE – Including first aid
