Robotics Engineer

mimic robotics is an early stage deep tech robotics & AI start-up based in Zurich and supported by leading VCs. We give industry workers a helping hand for tedious manual labor tasks and mitigate labor shortages with a versatile automation platform. Our automation solutions, driven by dexterous robotic hands and cutting edge AI trained on human observations, bring a new level of AI embodiment to the real world.

As a Robotics Engineer you will develop, deploy and test infrastructure for teleoperation and learning in the context of dexterous robotic manipulation, and closely work with our robotics and AI team to achieve robust operation.

• Develop and test ROS2, Python/C++ software that makes our robots come to life
• Test and debug AI-based controllers for robots
• Support on-site deployments and work closely with our clients in a wide range of fields
• Maintain, debug and repair our robotic systems on site

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• First-hand experience in integrating and deploying robots in an industrial environment
• 2+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent
• Robotics and ROS2 experience, both Python and C++
• Proficiency in Python and C++
• Proficiency with Linux
• Fluent English and German speaker
• Driving License (B)

• Strong robotics software track record combined with first experience and interest in utilizing learning-based controllers in robotics
• Knowledge of Pytorch, Docker and MLOps tools
• Experience in fixing/deploying autonomous robots
