Huawei’s Research Centre in Lausanne focuses on advanced technical research, architecture evolution design, and strategic technical planning in computer architecture.
We are currently looking for Researchers for our new Computer Architecture Innovation Lab
.
- Strong expertise in multimodal learning, with hands‑on experience in training large‑scale VLMs, video models, or multimodal agents.
- Proven contributions to well‑known open‑source AI projects (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, LLaVA, BLIP‑2, Intern
VL, OpenMMLab, Diffusers, video diffusion frameworks). - Strong understanding of transformer architectures, diffusion models, and large multimodal model (LMM) inference.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in PyTorch/JAX, large‑scale distributed training/inference frameworks, and AI performance optimization.
- Solid engineering ability to build end‑to‑end training and inference pipelines, including data preprocessing, distributed training, and evaluation.
- Experience in open‑source community development;
- Experience as a maintainer or committer in an open‑source community is preferred.
Innovation:
- Publication record in top‑tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ACL, EMNLP) is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to propose and validate novel architectures or algorithms.
- PhD + 8 years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong English communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional and interdisciplinary teams.
