SAP Business Data Cloud Expert (m/w/d) - LHH
Our customer, the global leader in IT infrastructure services, is seeking a SAP Business Data Cloud Expert (m/w/d) for a short‑term consulting engagement. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with proven expertise in guiding transformation projects and delivering consulting services within the life science sector.
Role Description- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s overall IT strategy and support implementation.
- Consult on designing and implementing SAP Business Data Cloud solutions.
- Build data models, pipelines, governance controls, and integrations; guide pharmaceutical customers on architecture choices and avoid common SAP BDC pitfalls (e.g., CU sizing, delta‑load issues, semantic layer gaps, BDC connectors).
- Translate complex pharma processes such as clinical trials, R&D data flows, GxP compliance, QA/QC, batch processing, and supply chain traceability into compliant and scalable data architectures in SAP BDC.
- Ensure BDC solutions meet regulatory and validation requirements (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11), foresee operational risks, data integrity issues, audit findings, and guide customers toward hybrid/controlled data‑processing strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in leading digital transformation programs with a focus on driving implementation of new IT landscapes (mainly SAP BDC).
- Pharma/life‑sciences experience is a strong plus.
- Extensive technological transformation program experience with a proven track record of successful implementation and integration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring compliance in all technology implementations.
- Technology fluency: SAP BDC systems, predictive analytics, and data visualization tools.
- Strategic, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders across all levels.
- Fluency in English.
