Our client:
Our client is a leading global player in the technology sector.
This position is an additional headcount in the existing channel sales organization and reports directly into the Channel Sales Director for Switzerland. It is an individual contributor role without people management responsibility.
The core elements of the scope of the job would be the following :
- Develop and execute channel sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
- Identify, onboard, and develop new channel partners, including resellers, distributors and system integrators.
- Manage and nurture existing channel relationships, acting as the main point of contact and driving mutual success through effective collaboration.
- Create and implement marketing and sales initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team to enhance partner engagement and increase market penetration.
- Regularly monitor and report on channel performance, delivering accurate sales forecasts, KPI tracking and insights on market trends.
- Conduct partner business reviews to evaluate performance, address concerns and explore opportunities for growth.
- Deliver product training and support to partners, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge to promote and sell solutions effectively.
- Negotiate partner agreements, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
- Resolve channel conflicts by addressing competitive situations and working cross-functionally to provide win-win solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies, bringing strategic insights back to the leadership team.
- We are looking for a mid-senior professional, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar Channel Sales Manager.
- This role requires a technical background in a technology related discipline and a solid understanding of technology products and services, particularly in the field of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, connectivity, both hardware and software).
- Strong know-how of the Swiss ICT market, with knowledge of local players, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with partners.
- Fluent German / Swiss-German skills are a must. Proficient English skills are a must.
- Availability to travel across the German-speaking part of Switzerland.
