** About the role
** In this role, you will support the Analytics team in overseeing the MS Reinsurance underwriting portfolio through the Performance Management Framework. You will analyze internal data and external market insights to assess and refine underwriting strategies across various segments, providing both challenge and support to drive informed decision-making.
** Your responsibilities
*** Organizing and preparing analysis for annual portfolio reviews.
* Assessing underwriting performance across MS Reinsurance, collaborating with key teams to identify risks and opportunities.
* Researching market data to benchmark MS Re’s portfolio and refine strategy.
* Monitoring key performance indicators and communicating insights to underwriting teams.
* Evaluating pricing, exposure management, and business plan adherence.
* Attending reserving meetings to assess loss projections and reserve adequacy.
* Developing analytical tools and collaborating with the Data team for reporting consistency.
* Preparing reports for executive committee meetings.
** Your profile
*** University degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or related field.
* Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance and actuarial principles.
* Experience with analytical software;
Power BI preferred.
* Strong analytical skills and application to (re) insurance.
* Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
* Nearly/newly qualified in actuarial studies or data science preferred.
* Experience in insurance, ideally reinsurance, within actuarial or analytics teams.
* Fluent in English.
