Group Underwriting Expert; Retail Business or Commercial Property Part-Time

Your responsibility

• Further development and updating of the underwriting governance framework in close collaboration with the Group Chief Underwriting Officer
• Promoting the exchange of experience within the group, including organizing and conducting underwriting workshops and training courses
• Planning and conducting Technical Underwriting Reviews in the market units
• Regular exchange with local underwriting managers and specialists and other group functions
• Supporting market units in the further development of underwriting standards and processes
• Processing referral cases for the Group Underwriting Committee
• Observing trends and innovations in underwriting

• Many years of experience as senior underwriter in direct Non-Life insurance (retail or commercial property)
• Experienced in underwriting governance and portfolio management topics
• Strong leadership personality with experience in functional and / or line management
• Enjoy working in an international environment and experienced in the interaction between group functions and market units
• Team Player with a strong results-orientated mindset
• Seniority and confidence in appearance, convincing communication skills, and experience in stakeholder management
• Fluent in English and good knowledge in German, Spanish or French
• Willingness to travel within Europe up to 25%
