Laboratory Technician

Philogen is a Swiss-Italian integrated biotechnology company founded in 1996, dedicated to developing innovative biopharmaceuticals for cancer therapy ().
Philochem AG is the discovery R&D center of the Philogen Group located in Otelfingen (Zurich, Switzerland). Promising preclinical candidates developed at Philochem are subsequently produced at Philogen’s authorized Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities in Siena (Italy). The Company currently sponsors and coordinates Phase I, II, and III prospective clinical trials in Europe and in the United States. Despite its focus on cancer research, the company is also actively involved in discovering innovative therapies for inflammatory conditions.

Philochem AG, is seeking a highly motivated and cooperative Laboratory Technician to join our R&D group. Your main role would be to carry out various tasks critical for the maintenance of the lab, and to support our team of scientists working on internal research projects.

• Teaming up with the Chemistry and lab manager to ensure good work organization.
• Ordering and receiving laboratory supplies.
• Managing inventory and restocking consumables.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair.
• Preparing stock solutions, reagent aliquots, and buffers.
• Support scientists and PhD students with synthetic activies
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or an apprenticeship degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
• Experience with basic analytical chemistry and/or organic chemistry.
• Fluency in oral and written English. Knowledge of German would be ideal.
