Located in Carcassonne, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of South West France, the French House Party offers residential, all-inclusive creative writing experience courses & holidays in summer 2024. Designed for experienced writers and creative writing hobbyists, our 6-day "Pen & Think" Tutored Creative Writing Retreat is taught by Sarah Hymas - a poet, playwright, publisher, writer of short stories, and an accredited coach.

"Pen & Think" - Tutored Creative Writing Retreat - Summer 2018:
- Duration: 6 days / 5 nights

• Designed for the experienced, progressing writer, this retreat is a wonderful opportunity to devote yourself to your current writing - be that a novel, memoir, collection of poetry or short stories.

• Participants receive a minimum of two one-to-one sessions with Sarah in the afternoons to explore your work in depth. These conversations are specifically tailored to your needs.

• Sarah can help with 'writers block', offer advice on writing structure, and provide detailed analysis and feedback on your work. She is also happy to discuss your ambitions and plans for publishing your work.

• An evening feedback session gives all participants the opportunity to discuss each others' work-in-progress, and share ideas and inspirations with other writers.

Further Summer Writing Course:
"Write Like No One's Watching" (6 days - 5 nights).

• This course includes daily 3-hour group sessions, one-to-one tutorials and an after-dinner feedback focus on at least one evening.
