NILS Japanese Language School:
With two campuses in the Fukuoka area of southern Japan, NILS Japanese Language School provides a range of short and long-term Japanese language courses to students from all over the world. Our Fukuoka Campus is located near the central area of the city, just 1 minute's walk from Nishitetsu Ohashi Station. Our Ogori City campus, about 30 minutes from Fukuoka City, houses the students in our long-term programs. Established in 2003, we tailor our Japanese programs to suit the needs of each individual, making sure that you are truly comfortable with the language before your course is over. We offer Long and Short-Term study programs, intensive courses, summer programs, and a homestay program.

Japanese Language Courses for International Students:
Photo of Long & Short-Term Japanese Courses in Fukuoka, JapanWe offer various terms of programs according to student requests. We teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing with equal emphasis. Most of students master up to intermediate level of conversation within 3 months.

Short-Term Japanese Courses
Our short-term General Japanese courses that range from 1-3 months are designed for students who do not intend to go to university in Japan, or students from overseas who already live in Japan, but do not have sufficient language skills. These very effective programs are used for students to acquire well-used expressions and phrases quickly that Japanese people usually use in daily conversations.

Outside activity is scheduled every week that the student will find exciting. Students cover Listening, Pronunciation, Speaking, Reading, Grammar & Vocabulary, and Writing skills, and can learn daily conversation with native teachers, or may want to try to achieve a high enough score on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. There is no set starting date, as long as student has already covered an average level of Japanese.

Intensive Japanese Courses

Students receive high quality lessons with our certified teachers.

Our curriculum encourages students to improve their spoken Japanese to communicate and strengthen other skills, such as listening, reading, writing, presentation, vocabulary and discussion. Intensive programs are provided throughout the year and the student is required to apply for a student visa. Not only do we support our students to gain vital language skills, but also to enjoy and understand Japanese culture.

- Intensive 1.5-year program

- Homestay program

Summer Programs:
- Improve your Japanese conversational skills from your current level.

Homestay Program:
Staying with a Japanese family will be a great opportunity for you to learn the culture and traditions while improving your Japanese. Your needs or preferences also will be taken into account when arranging families. All host families are located within one hour from school by public transport.
