PILS - Spanish School at the Beach:
Located in the surfing capital of Chile, Pichilemu Institute of Language Studies (PILS) is a Spanish language school offering intensive and semi-intensive Spanish courses to students from around the world. In addition, we offer college credit courses and study abroad semester programs to U.S college students. We also offer a certificate approved by the Universidad de Bolivariana in Santiago to college students from the UK, Canada, Australia and Europe which may be used for credit depending on your institution.

Pichilemu is located on the rural eastern coast of Central Chile and is approximately 3.5 hours by bus from the capital, Santiago.

College Credit Programs:
US college students can design their own college credit program. Choose from 9 different undergraduate Spanish classes and take between 3 and 15 credits. These classes are generally a mix of small group and private with a minimum study time depending on how many courses you want to take.

These classes are available: Beginner 1a, Beginner 2a, Intermediate 2a, Intermediate 2b, Introduction to Business Spanish, Spanish Conversation, Introduction to Latin American Literature, Introduction to Spanish Literature I and II, and Spanish Conversation and Culture through Reading.

All course work will be revised and approved by the staff at Brookhaven College in Texas.

Study Abroad / Semester Programs for College & University Students:
During our Semester program students take the following courses:

- Spanish Beginner 1b
- Spanish Intermediate 2a
- Spanish Intermediate 2b
- Spanish Conversation and Culture through Reading
- Introduction to Latin American Literature

All course work will be revised and approved by the staff at Brookhaven College in Texas. Students will stay in homestay accommodation with local Argentine host families and will enjoy excursions organized by PILS.

College Credit for UK, Canadian, Australian and European Students:
We also offer a certificate for non-US students which is approved by the Universidad de Bolivariana in Santiago for 40 hour courses (4 levels) based on US University semesters/quarters. Talk to your student advisor about possible Spanish credit opportunities with PILS.
