Summer Transition Camp:
For children moving from primary school into secondary school. 

Let Me Play have been delivering transition styled programmes for over 6 years. Our 2-week summer holiday camp is designed to ease transition from primary to secondary school, and increase academic numeracy and literacy skills. This transition period is often stressful for young people, and this short, intensive summer programme aims to address concerns, fear and pre-conceptions of ‘big’ school - and ultimately provide tools to aid settlement into a new environment.

Transition Programme Aims & Outcomes:
• Allow students to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings
• Allow young people to meet and talk to current year 7/8 pupils.
• Answering any questions students may have about the transition to secondary school
• Ease transition from primary to secondary school
• Ensure that all participants are provided with the necessary support 
• Form foundations of social responsibility, good decisions and healthy lifestyles
• Help young people meet and make new friends before the new academic year begins
• Increase numeracy and literacy skills
• Provide a taster of activities and allow young people to gain new skills and knowledge
