Online TESOL / TEFL Certification Courses:

* Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL (150 hours)
The Certificate of Educational Studies in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages is aimed primarily at persons who wish to gain an initial TEFL / TESOL qualification. 

This extensive course will equip the prospective teacher with the necessary skills to enter the classroom with the necessary confidence and understanding of relevant techniques and knowledge of teaching methodologies. This is a 150 hour course.

If a student wishes to extend their qualification further in the future, they need only register for a further four modules to qualify for the diploma course.

* Master Diploma of Educational Studies in TESOL (300 hours)
This programme is designed for teachers who wish to achieve an advanced level qualification in the theory and methodology of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

The overall aim is to provide an advanced distance training course in the theory, methodology and Management of teaching English to speakers of other languages. It is aimed at those dedicated to a career in English language Teaching. 

There will be 14 regular assignments and 6 extended essays, but no formal examinations.

These will make up for the total assessment mark and are to be completed once the course readings or relevant research has been completed. The overall pass mark for the Master Diploma Course is 60%.

Online Learning - Course Delivery:
The TEFL Training College offers online TEFL / TESOL courses through up-to-date, technologically advanced interactive training media which enhance and promote the learning experience.

You will be exposed to the latest industry course reading materials, video clips, audio - tutorials and web-based texts.

You will also be assigned a tutor for the duration of your studies who will be available to assist you with your studies and guide you every step of the way.

Observed Teaching Practice:
Whilst the TEFL Training College recognizes the place of observed teaching practice in training programmes, it is also aware that many aspiring English language teachers are unable to attend full-time courses or cover the cost of such courses. 

Online learning is not necessarily a second choice for students who cannot attend a conventional course, or who may not be able to afford the fees. Nowadays, more and more distance-learning students follow this route deliberately as a first choice! 

It is important to stress that online-training is a real way ahead, with advantages of its own, and a viable alternative to face -to -face training.

When opting for a face-to-face course you may only be required to complete one or two lessons of observed teaching practice which is hardly a substitute for real classroom teaching experience.

Your in depth knowledge of teaching methodology and practice will give you the tools necessary to apply in a real teaching environment and after one or two lessons in a new school, you will be well on your way to a career of life long learning and experience.
