We include the option of practicing and observing classes both in person and online at the end of the training period. We also have a specific job bank for our students.
Bilbao is located in the beautiful Basque region, 396 km / 246 miles north of Madrid and 612km / 380 miles north-west of Barcelona.
Spanish Refresher Course for Teachers - 2 weeks:
- ELE Spanish Teacher Course, plus the option of gaining valuable experience working as a private tutor in a Spanish language school.
- Start any Monday throughout the summer or academic year.
The object of this professional development course is to bring teachers of Spanish as a second language (ELE) up-to-date with regard to the practical aspects of teaching, methodology, and the historical / social aspects of Spain.
This is an intensive 2-week course of 60 units (6 hrs / day intensive, 1hr. = 50 mins) with an average of 3 students per class and a maximum of 6 students per group.
The course is for teachers of all nationalities. If you wish to prolong your stay, you can also enrol in a course at Advanced or Higher level. Courses start every Monday throughout the year.
The course covers specific grammar, the study and analysis of present day methods, type of classes, the use of various teaching materials in the classroom, the classification and evaluation of students. The themes of the class are:
- Communication method
- Highlight of homework in the Spanish class
- Linguistic skills: specific activities
- Resources and activities for the class of Spanish
- Reference levels: Common European Framework
- Curricular Plan of the Instituto Cervantes
- Spanish language
- Treating the mistake
- Specific groups: children, immigrants..
- Spanish for specific aims: business, law
Individualized advice is provided and the course is adapted to your needs. We provide a wide range of bibliographical information and advice to individuals. Cultural activities are also included in the program.
