Family-friendly Courses at France Langue & Culture on the French Riviera - Summer 2024:
Experience a fun, educational language holiday on the French Riviera for all the family this summer! France Langue & Culture is the most family-friendly language school for young children, teens, and families, and has been in operation since 1977. You can choose from 2, 3 or 4-week courses for children from ages 6-17 as well as courses for adults, parents, and guardians. Located in Saint Raphael on the Mediterranean coastline of south-east France, and close to Nice and Cannes, France Langue & Culture is run by Edmond de Saenger, a former French Professor and a native of the Saint-Raphael region.

At our French summer school, we offer young children, teenagers and families the wonderful opportunity to learn or improve their French skills while spending an enjoyable and enriching holiday together on the French Riviera. 

Our range of courses include:
• French Summer Courses for young children, teenagers and families in June, July and August
• 2, 3 & 4-week course options
• Children's Summer Camps for children ages 6-12
• Full Immersion Student Course for teenagers ages 13-17, with homestay accommodation by French host families
• Courses for parents / adults / French teachers
• A wide range of sport and leisure activities


Total French Immersion:
At our Children's Camps, for children ages 6-12, children learn to memorize whole sentences and grammatical structures by the intensive use of French in songs, texts, games and theater.

For boys and girls ages 13-17 who wish to improve and develop their skills in the French language, we offer a full immersion summer student´s course with accommodation offered by carefully selected French host families.

Students are fully integrated into family life, can meet with local French teenagers, and can practise the French they are learning in real-life situations.


Learning French with Local Children:
Whenever possible there will be participation by French children in the same age-group to insure a more realistic atmosphere in the classroom.

The purpose is to encourage the child to learn the ability to imitate sounds, to learn and memorize whole sentences of a new foreign language by the intensive use of French in songs, easy texts, games, theater and by memorizing words, sentences and grammatical structures.

Furthermore, the child will practice the comprehension of the language by doing oral and written exercises. Priority is given to a global approach of the French language.


Experienced Instructors:
We always have present at least two or three of our talented young French assistants / teachers (Sanaa, Angie, Cecile, Cyrielle, Elodie) who are very fond of children. 

With great success, they have taught children's groups of different ages and language abilities.

Saint Raphael is a commune in the Var department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of southeastern France.

It is ideally situated on the French Riviera, next to the adjoining city of Frejus, just 60 km (37 miles) from Nice.

Other nearby cities include St-Tropez and Cannes, only 20 km (12.5 miles) and 25 km (15.5 miles) away respectively.


Sport and Leisure Activities:
Saint Raphael offers a wide range of sports and leisure activities with sandy beaches, facilities for water sports such as dinghy sailing or windsurfing and recreation centers nearby.

Saint Raphael offers aerobics, horseback riding, diving, water-skiing, tennis, golf, roller-blading and biking.

The Ranch des trois fers in the suburb of le Dramont, specializes in pony rides for young children. Students have ample opportunity to meet with local teenagers and get involved in community events.


Accommodation:
Young children stay in hotels or in local apartments with their families. For students of 13 years upwards, there is the option of a homestay programme - staying with local host families who are delighted to integrate them into their family lives.
