THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced Controller who wants to make a meaningful impact across both the finance function and wider business operations.

This Controller role is ideal for a hands-on and commercially minded CPA who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where finance plays a central role in driving performance, supporting decision-making, and improving processes. You will lead the accounting function while partnering closely with operations and senior leadership to help shape the future direction of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership & Reporting

Lead all core accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger

Oversee month-end, year-end, and financial statement preparation

Deliver variance analysis and meaningful financial insights to leadership

Manage the external audit process and maintain strong internal controls

Manufacturing Finance & Commercial Support

Own cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis

Partner with operations to understand production drivers and improve profitability

Manage working capital, cash flow, and forecasting

Support investment and growth decisions through robust financial analysis

Planning, Forecasting & Systems Improvement

Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes

Improve reporting, dashboards, and financial visibility

Act as finance lead for ERP enhancements and process improvements

Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Leadership & Business Partnership

Lead, coach, and develop the finance team

Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and executive leadership

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

CPA designation is required

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience

Background within manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environments

Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory, budgeting, and financial reporting

ERP systems experience (Dynamics NAV / D365 preferred)

Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across the business

A hands-on leadership style with both strategic and operational capability
