Your area of focusThe Automotive Service Lot Attendant will transport customers as needed, clean the interior and exterior of customer vehicles and inventory vehicles, and manage detailing tasks to ensure vehicles are ready for sale or service.
Job Responsibilities- Transport customers and dealership personnel as required
- Maintain building and grounds as needed
- Assist Service and Sales Department duties
- Organize and park vehicles for sale and service departments
- Remove protective coverings and before returning vehicles to customers
- Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damage; report any issues immediately
- Assist with service write‑ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
- Pick up parts from the Parts Department
- Help with shop clean‑up and deliveries when needed
- Clean vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (e.g., snow removal)
- Identify lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
- Place signage on vehicles for advertising purposes
- Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on their progression in the reconditioning process
- Maintain lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc.)
- Detail interior and exterior of customer vehicles, including vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
- Ensure exterior of vehicles is smudge‑free, including showroom displays
- Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in the automotive industry and knowledge of vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Experience with cleaning products and tools, including power washers, is an asset
- Dependable, reliable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
