Jardeg is currently recruiting an
Experienced Traffic Control Person/Lane Technician
to join the
Infrastructure team!
This position is located on a long-term project in Agassiz, BC
and does not have camp accommodations or living out allowance.
This is a 5 and 2 schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Duties:
- Mobilize lane closures, road closures, and detours to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow around construction sites
- Mentoring/coaching traffic control personnel
- Monitoring of daily activities and traffic control schedule
- Setting up and removing of traffic control equipment - this could include pylons, signage, and barricades
- Involved in designing and implementing lane and road closures
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with traffic safety regulations
Communication with the construction crews and the general public
Will be required to adhere to company safety standards, policies, and guidelines
The ability to perform other duties as required by the site to ensure the project advances smoothly and safely
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
required
Traffic Control Certification
required
Advanced First Aid Certification
required
Certifications:
CSTS 2020 & WHMIS
- Experience with implementing traffic control plans is an asset
- Must have knowledge and experience with traffic regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to work under minimal supervision
Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues; take appropriate actions
Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
