Role and Facility Information

The Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC) is looking for a Clinical Respirologist to join a group of 4 existing respirologists. The successful candidate will share inpatient on call responsibilities for the hospital respirology consult service and is expected to have an outpatient practice available locally to serve the population of Fraser East for general respirology. Existing services include pulmonary function lab, Level 1 sleep lab, access to flexible bronchoscopy, and an upcoming expansion with EBUS.

There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to take a leadership role in implementing EBUS and expanding interventional pulmonary services in the hospital. The respirology position does not include MRP responsibilities.

The candidate must have passed the Royal College Examination in Internal Medicine & Respirology and must demonstrate evidence of sufficient clinical experience in all areas of Respirology. Experience in interventional respirology, including linear/radial endobronchial ultrasound, will be considered an asset, along with competency in all aspects of general respirology.
