Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) provides K-12 home and online education. HCOS offers flexible solutions and programming tailored to every child’s learning journey.
At HCOS, teachers are independent contractors who are resourceful and innovative educators. They are passionate about learning and building Christ centered relationships with students and families.
PositionsWe are looking for BC Certified Teachers to teach in-person at our Sumas Community Connections+ (CC+) program location. CC+ are in-person learning opportunities that are one full day per week for 30 weeks where students collaborate in a class setting with a home-education flavour focusing on meaningful and hands-on learning activities. CC+ classes are led by BC certified teachers fully responsible for covering all CC+ course outcomes.
There are two teaching roles available
, that may be filled by 1-2 qualified applicants:
- Role 1: PHE, Science and Social Studies (Grades 4/5)
- 0.26 FTE; one day per week (Tuesday) on-site for 30 weeks at the Mill Lake Church in Abbotsford, BC
- 2026-27 school year
- Role 2: PHE, Science and Social Studies (Grades 4/5)
- 0.26 FTE; one day per week (Thursday) on-site for 30 weeks at the Mill Lake Church in Abbotsford, BC
- 2026-27 school year
- BC Teacher Certification
- Previous experience teaching relevant subjects
- Previous experience teaching CC/CC+ is preferred
- Ability to build relationships and work relationally with students, parents, coordinator and other team members
- Flexible attitude towards adapting to students and situation

- Competitive Wage: $17,000-$40,000 for the school year, based on a 0.26-0.52 FTE and depending on experience, certifications and FTE
