Oxford Learning Abbotsford Hillcrest & Clearbrook is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for roles in our learning centre for the current school year (2025‑2026). If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.
Position OverviewAs a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will work with:
- Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French
- High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English.
All lessons are pre‑planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on teaching.
Position Requirements- Availability Monday to Friday during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
- Saturday morning availability
- Commitment for the remainder of the 2025‑26 school year, through the summer, and into the 2026‑27 school year
- This role is in‑person; you must be able to commute to this location. Relocation packages are not available.
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Third or fourth‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered
- Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- The ability to teach French is also highly desired
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Teach up to 3 students at a time
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)

Job Type: Part‑time
Salary: $19 - $21 / hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: after‑school/evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm);
Saturday morning availability.
