Position: Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) Clinic Instructor
Location: VaCC Abbotsford
Start Date: ASAP
Reports To: Campus Director / RMT Coordinator
Salary: $40.00/hour
Shifts: Multiple shifts available throughout the week (Morning and Afternoon)
Position OverviewAs an RMT Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of massage therapy professionals. You will provide hands‑on instruction and support students through their academic journey, ensuring they are well‑prepared for successful careers. This position offers an opportunity to share your expertise while staying engaged in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the curriculum and program objectives.
- Create dynamic lesson plans and teaching aids to meet diverse student needs.
- Offer personalized feedback to students, tracking their progress and development.
- Foster a positive and professional learning environment for students and colleagues.
- Participate in curriculum development and updates to keep courses relevant.
- Maintain professional industry knowledge and skills.
- Report student progress and any issues to the Campus Director or Coordinator.
- Keep accurate attendance records and submit required forms promptly.
- Ensure online course materials are up to date and consistent with current textbooks.
- Make up any missed classes due to illness or other absences.
- Collaborate with staff and administration to ensure smooth operations.
- Engage in teaching evaluations and performance reviews for continuous improvement.
- Education: Degree, diploma, or certification in a relevant field or a licensed RMT in good standing.
- Experience: Teaching experience is not required. RMT & Theory Instructors:
Academic faculty have a minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with CCHPBC or post‑secondary credentials in a relevant field in which they are teaching. - Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and student mentorship abilities.
