Casual Educational Support

Enhance learning for special needs students at Abbotsford School District. As an Educational Assistant, you will promote academic and social development in a supportive environment.

This role involves providing important assistance under the Principal's direction while working with integrated classrooms. Your focus will be on academic support tailored to individual IEPs, behavior management, and personal care promoting hygiene and health. Your contributions will play a crucial part in helping students thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create a safe learning space and manage behavioral triggers

• Offer personalized academic guidance and support

• Track student progress and provide feedback to educators

• Facilitate social interactions and integration among students

• Assist with personal health and hygiene needs

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and Education Assistant Program

• Minimum 1 year experience with special needs students

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence

• Current Certification in CPI

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
