Position: English Teacher for Multilingual Learners
Support diverse learners at Chief Dan George Middle School in Abbotsford as an English language teacher. Contribute to the education of students through innovative ELL support and collaboration with classroom teachers.

The Abbotsford School District is hiring a part-time English teacher for its growing ELL population. You will work closely with students in Grades 6-8, providing in-class support and targeted small-group instruction.

Your role will encompass co-planning with teachers to enhance the educational experience for multilingual students, fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ELL support through in-class and small-group instruction

• Collaborate with teaching staff on curriculum planning

• Administer and interpret IPT assessments

• Facilitate language acquisition using technology

• Develop an inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements:

• TESL Certificate from an accredited program

• Experience with IELTS instruction and BC ELL standards

• Familiarity with technology for language teaching

• Background in teaching ELL learners in middle school

• Satisfactory teacher evaluations or practicum reports
