Responsibilities- Meet and connect with riders, qualify their needs, and provide options and advice from a preset service menu or tune-ups and a la carte service.
- Speak authoritatively on technical matters related to bicycles; be the expert for our customers.
- Assist customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner; deliver "wow" customer service.
- Properly intake all service work and set and exceed rider expectations, including accurately filling out service work orders and scheduling an appropriate number of repairs.
- Advise and assist customers with product/service selection without bias.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of all merchandise in the department to provide accurate information and stay current with new product lines.
- Assist with bike sales through technical consulting and perform other bike floor duties as needed.
- Deliver best-in-class rider service to ensure ongoing service quality and high rider satisfaction.
- Maintain general cleanliness standards at store opening, throughout the day, and at close of business; perform light janitorial duties as needed.
- Proficiency in Lightspeed point-of-sale systems and store operational websites.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Passion for cycling and the Specialized brand.
- Bike shop / bike mechanic experience preferred.
- Excellent communication with the ability to effectively interact with riders and team members.
- Ability to work as business dictates, including weekends.
- Ability to stand for extensive time periods; may occasionally walk, kneel, or reach.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. or more and use proper lifting techniques.
