Position: Planner Opportunity with City
Shape community planning in Abbotsford as a seasoned Planner.

The City of Abbotsford seeks a skilled Planner with a graduate degree in Community or Regional Planning. Focused on assisting the Community Planning Department, you'll craft reports for City Council and manage complex applications. Your effective communication will engage both the public and internal teams to address key planning issues and community needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft comprehensive planning reports for management review

• Engage stakeholders on planning and environmental sustainability

• Present strategic recommendations to Council and community

• Analyze municipal planning data for decision-making

• Facilitate outreach efforts to build community trust

Requirements:

• Graduate degree in Community or Regional Planning

• Two years of experience in municipal planning projects

• Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners

• Understanding of municipal planning bylaws and principles

• Proven presentation and communication skills
