Certification with the CAMRT.

Responsibilities
  • Performs general duty radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures consistent with established standards, procedures, radiation protection practices, and protocols.
  • Operates radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving data.
  • Prepares and administers contrast agents and manages tray set‑up.
  • Monitors patient safety and ensures adherence to department standards.
  • Performs quality control tests and schedules repairs.
  • Completes clerical duties related to patient demographics and data entry.
  • Assists in training employees and students.
  • Participates in research, special projects, and continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Reports unsafe situations promptly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Certification with the CAMRT.

Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of safe work procedures and diagnostic radiographic equipment.
  • Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with standards.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based practice and modality policies.
  • Understanding of PACS/RIS, image archiving and retrieval.
  • Effective communication with clients, families, and health care staff.
  • Proficiency in operation of imaging equipment and related computer systems.
  • Independence and collaboration skills; prioritization of workload.
  • CPR competency.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
