Salary  The salary range for this position is CAD $40.19 - $50.20 / hour

Detailed Overview  Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory therapy: assists with in‑service education and provides input into program development.
Responsibilities   Perform diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow‑ups as related to respiratory therapy such as assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and providing support initiating/maintaining mechanical ventilation support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation, and daily care of patients as prescribed.
Maintain documentation by ensuring reports, records and workload statistics are complete and accurate according to established departmental standards.
Participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care goals, therapeutic/diagnostic strategies and program related issues.
Monitor and perform required maintenance, cleaning, calibration, evaluation and quality control of respiratory and related equipment: report supply needs as required; maintain relevant logs/reports.
Participate in quality improvement activities such as the development, implementation and evaluation of written procedures and standards, development of assessment forms and patient materials, and program descriptions as required.
Provide in‑service education as required.
Participate in meetings and departmental committees and contribute to problem identification and resolution.
Participate in Respiratory Therapy student education and various in‑services for staff and the community as required.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications  

Education and Experience  Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level

C. Possession of and maintained Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
