Community Mental Health Clinician - Geriatric Focus

Become a vital part of Fraser Health as a Community Mental Health Clinician focused on geriatric clients. Deliver assessment and compassionate care to improve the lives of elderly individuals facing mental health challenges.

This interdisciplinary position will allow you to provide essential psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing support for elderly clients. You will collaborate closely with community agencies and caregivers to enhance the quality and delivery of mental health services tailored for older adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment and intervention strategies for elderly clients

• Conduct follow-ups and monitor clients' psychosocial situations

• Collaborate with teams for coordinated care delivery

• Advocate for clients with community services

• Prepare documentation and reports as required

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work or similar

• Recent experience working with geriatric mental health

• Class V BC Driver's Licence and personal vehicle

• Strong organizational and networking skills

• Ability to provide both formal and informal education
