Position: Homemaker Role at Lighthouse Shelter
Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Homemaker at the Lighthouse Shelter in Abbotsford, BC. Your work will focus on maintaining a clean, supportive environment for residents in need.

As a Full Time Homemaker, you will report to the Site Manager and perform vital cleaning and organizing tasks while respecting each resident's dignity. The role also includes assisting clients with personal hygiene and nutrition, while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, including respirator fit testing as per WorkSafeBC guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of all areas

• Organize and stock personal care and cleaning supplies

• Facilitate hygiene assistance and nutritional support

• Direct volunteer activities and manage donations

• Maintain compliance with health and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education and one year of experience

• Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Strong communication skills and independent working ability

• Two years of sobriety if applicable

• Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector
