Position
Independent Contractor – Cloud & Dedicated Hosting Provider Senior Ops Architect
SummaryThe Cloud & Dedicated Hosting Provider Senior Ops Architect designs and implements frameworks to optimize cloud and dedicated hosting costs (Konect Hosting vs. AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) while maximizing business value. This senior‑level role drives financial accountability, creates automated cost‑saving strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances), and collaborates with engineering to align cloud and dedicated architecture with financial goals.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree, or Equivalent
- 5+ Years Cloud & Dedicated Hosting “Project & Product Management” (Agile Scrum)
- Deep knowledge of cloud & dedicated architecture and pricing models (AWS, Azure & GCP), including AI/SaaS cost implications
- Experience with Fin Ops tools such as Cloud Health, Cloudability, or Flexera
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting complex cloud and dedicated billing data
- Ability to present financial and technical data to C‑suite stakeholders
- Highly experienced with “SaaS Modular Cloud & Dedicated Hosting Platforms”
- Highly experienced with “Quality Control Workmanship Analyzation” (Test & Verify)
- Strong network of operational resources
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and improve Ops. Tech‑stack frameworks across multi‑cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, Kubernetes)
- Analyze usage patterns and implement savings through rightsizing, reserved instances, and workload scheduling
- Establish and automate cost allocation policies and tagging strategies to ensure full visibility
- Act as a technical advisor to engineering, Dev Ops, and finance teams, fostering a culture of Fin Ops
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for real‑time visibility into cloud and dedicated spend and trends
- Lead and mentor engineers on best practices
- Hours:
Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm EST (New York) - 60‑Day Probation Period:
Part‑Time (Hours dependent on probation projects) - After Probation:
Full‑Time
- Hourly Rate: $50.00 per hour (USD) – compensation negotiable based on experience
- Project Based – Hourly Rate & Profit‑Sharing Bonus
