Chief Information Security Officer at University

Lead the future of information security as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the University. Drive compliance, risk management, and security strategy across all campuses.

The CISO will manage security resources and ensure alignment with institutional strategies and risk tolerance. This role demands collaboration with executive leadership and various internal stakeholders to enforce policies that protect the University’s information systems and data. You will be responsible for performance metrics to report to Senior Leadership and the Board of Governors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the management of comprehensive information security resources

• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures

• Collaborate with leadership on compliance and risk tolerance

• Manage performance metrics reporting to stakeholders

• Implement security infrastructure and practices across divisions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computing science or related field

• 7 years of IT experience, with 5 in information security

• 2 years in a management role

• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM) preferred

• Strong communication and leadership skills
