The OpportunityAs The Common well continues to build and mature its in-house actuarial capabilities, this role will help shape pricing methodologies, tools, and governance processes. You will work closely with business leaders to embed actuarial insight into decision-making and influence how pricing evolves across the organization.
The Senior Actuarial Pricing Analyst plays a key role in the development, refinement, and monitoring of pricing strategies across Personal Lines Auto and Residential Property, and Specialty Lines insurance. Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management & Member Innovation, this position supports data-driven pricing decisions through rigorous actuarial analysis, research, modeling, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. The Analyst contributes to portfolio profitability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of rating structures, methodologies, and tools across all supported product lines.

- Exposure to Commercial, Farm, or Specialty lines is considered an asset
- Lead the design and enhancement of rating models, factors, and methodologies across Auto, Property, and Specialty lines.
- Perform quarterly rate indications for each Line of Business and provide commentary on rate adequacy
- Prepare and present rate indication results and recommendations to leadership, supporting pricing and filing decisions
- Leverage actuarial insight to support business strategy, pricing decisions, and portfolio management, considering product performance, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure rate indications are reviewed and documented in alignment with internal governance and regulatory expectations
- Post-secondary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Working toward ACAS/FCAS designation strongly preferred
- Minimum 2–5 years of P&C actuarial or pricing experience, ideally spanning Personal Auto, Residential Property, or Commercial/Farm product lines
- Completion of at least 4 actuarial exams is required
