As a subcontracted freelance interpreter with Archway, you will deliver vital interpretation services ensuring clear communication between English speakers and those with limited English proficiency. This role requires cultural sensitivity and the ability to navigate diverse environments such as hospitals, schools, and law firms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate accurate communication between speakers

• Respect cultural differences and ensure inclusion

• Maintain confidentiality during interpretation sessions

• Prepare for assignments with relevant material

• Report challenges encountered during sessions

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in interpreting or related field

• At least two years of relevant interpreting experience

• Complete a minimum of 300 hours of interpreting

• Associate member of STIBC pending certification

• Pass a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
