Position: Lower Mainland Interpreter with Archway
Help break language barriers as a Freelance Interpreter with Archway in the Lower Mainland. Offer crucial interpretation services across healthcare, legal, and community domains.

As an Independent Interpreter, you will be tasked with facilitating effective communication between English-speaking professionals and clients with limited English proficiency. This role emphasizes cultural sensitivity and accuracy in interpretation while working in diverse settings such as hospitals, schools, and job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language accurately and faithfully

• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all interactions

• Uphold confidentiality standards in all assignments

• Prepare for interpretations with necessary background research

• Report any challenges to the dispatch team

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in interpreting or a closely related field

• At least two years of relevant experience in interpreting

• 300 hours of interpreting in your specialty language

• Associate member of STIBC and awaiting certification

• Clear Criminal Record Check required
