Maintenance Janitor Casual Shifts

Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Maintenance Janitor to ensure a clean and safe environment. This role encompasses diverse janitorial tasks and maintenance responsibilities.

The Janitor Maintenance Worker plays a vital part in supporting Lookout’s mission. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of the site, keeping building equipment functional, and engaging in maintenance tasks alongside a dynamic team. Flexibility in work hours is essential as shifts occur on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform janitorial duties, including sweeping and waxing floors

• Manage garbage removal and recycling

• Upkeep all building equipment and conduct repairs

• Collaborate with staff and oversee volunteers' tasks

• Contribute to health and safety programs and procedures

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education and two years’ related experience

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills

• Two years sobriety if related to substance use
