The Transmission Associate is responsible for supporting the packaging, preparation, and completion of transmissions, as well as performing related general duties within the Transmission Department. This role contributes to the efficient creation and delivery of value to BD Diesel customers by ensuring finished transmissions are properly packaged, documented, and ready for shipment.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain visibility, organization, and accuracy of transmission core storage
- Bag, label, and store transmission cores
- Pick and stage cores for teardown
- Package completed transmissions and finished goods
- Prepare transmission shipping containers
- Complete transmission work orders prior to transferring products to Shipping
- Maintain inventory of transmission shipping and packaging consumables
- Maintain records of finished goods and report on daily metrics
- Support daily production goals and targets by assisting with production-related activities
- Train new and existing associates as required
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
- Work with minimal supervision while following established procedures
Education, Certificates & Licenses
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Counterbalanced Forklift Operator Certificate
- Power Pallet Jack Operator Certificate
- Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) Operator Certificate
Who You Are
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with computers, tablets, scanners, and printers
- Basic math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Windows-based systems and ERP software
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Vision and hearing correctable to normal ranges
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, and use stairs
- Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 80 lbs.
