Temporary Shipping Clerk

Position: Temporary Shipping Clerk

Work hours:

Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day.

Wages: $24.20 per hour.

• Support Shipping Department; reporting to Shipping Supervisor.
• Organize trucks/couriers, create pick/pack slips and shipping documentation in JDE.
• Use TMS to tender loads to carriers.
• Communicate with CSR team and other departments as needed.
• Pre-call customers prior to shipping.
• Receive products and materials in JDE for Abbotsford site.
• Arrange outbound shipping for Maintenance/Production equipment, parts, QC samples.
• Occasionally arrange inbound shipments for production and other departments.
• Assist with finished goods cycle counts; provide stock checks for Shipping and Customer Service teams.
• Assist Shipping supervisor to assign and prioritize customer shipments to hourly loader operators.
• Provide general administrative support, including scanning shipping/receiving documents.
• Plan loads and process shipping documents (domestic and international).
• Assist with customer returns.
• Code freight invoices in third-party software.
• Follow all safety rules and complete safety trainings.
• Provide vacation coverage within Shipping department.

• Grade 12 education with strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Safety oriented.
• At least 3 years shipping administration experience, preferably in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Familiar with fast-paced environments.
• Strong communicator, effective verbal and written communication including electronic media.
• Computer literate with Outlook, Word, Excel; experience with major ERP platform (preferably JDE, SAP, and TMS).
