• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on heavy duty mobile equipment used in aggregate mining, including diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain issues.
• Conduct thorough equipment inspections to identify defects, wear, and safety concerns, ensuring all equipment remains safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.
• Complete field and pitsite repairs to minimize downtime, including supporting seasonal prep, winterization, and component changeouts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, inspections, and parts usage while collaborating with supervisors, operators, and trades staff to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to support a solid safety culture.

• Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (OnRoad or Off Road) required; CVIP and service truck experience considered assets.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills on heavy mobile equipment, supported by proficiency in diagnostic tools, computerized software, and standard shop equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and quality workmanship; experience in aggregate, construction, forestry, or mining industries preferred, with a valid drivers licence required.

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
